The three things that matter most. (1) Healing Tourist is a facilitator, not a hospital or a doctor — we do not diagnose or treat. (2) An international second opinion is a records-only written review and creates no doctor–patient relationship; a domestic teleconsultation does create one, with the consulting doctor and not with us. (3) Clinical responsibility rests with the treating clinician and institution, not with us — and nothing in these terms removes rights you hold under Indian consumer law or the mandatory law of your own country.
Global Healing Tourist LLP, a limited liability partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act 2008 with its registered office in the State of Karnataka, India ("Healing Tourist", "we", "us"), operates the platform at healingtourist.com and any associated services.
You agree to these terms by submitting an enquiry, uploading records, booking a consultation, or making a payment.
| Panellist | An independently registered medical practitioner empanelled by us to provide written opinions or teleconsultations. Not our employee or agent. |
| Partner Hospital | An independent hospital with which we hold an agreement. Not our subsidiary, agent or joint venture. |
| International Second Opinion | A records-only preparatory written assessment for a patient outside India. Not a consultation. |
| Domestic Second Opinion | A video teleconsultation for a patient in India, conducted under the NMC Telemedicine Practice Guidelines. |
| Medical Travel Services | Coordination of treatment in India, including a fixed-price quote, coordinator, logistics and post-repatriation continuity. Excludes the medical treatment itself. |
| Facilitation Fee | Our charge for coordination. Distinct from clinician and hospital charges. |
We do: maintain a credentialled panel; check whether your records are sufficient for review; route your case to an appropriate specialist; coordinate teleconsultations, quotes, travel logistics and continuity of records.
We do not: practise medicine; diagnose; prescribe; supervise or direct any clinician's judgement; guarantee any clinical outcome; employ any panellist or own any hospital; determine hospital charges.
Any doctor–patient relationship formed is between you and that clinician. We are not a party to it.
In both cases: a written opinion reflects the reviewer's professional judgement on the material provided. Its usefulness depends on the completeness and accuracy of what you send. Two competent specialists may reasonably disagree; a differing opinion does not establish that either is wrong.
Not for emergencies. These services operate on a timescale of days. If your condition is deteriorating, contact local emergency services or attend the nearest hospital. In India, dial 112.
Where we issue a fixed-price quote, that figure is binding on us for the scope stated in it. Cost variation within that scope is absorbed under the overrun cascade set out in your patient agreement and does not increase what you pay.
The one exception is where a materially different procedure becomes clinically necessary. That requires a fresh written quote and your express consent, which you may decline. It is never applied retrospectively.
International airfare, government visa fees, personal expenses, non-clinical extension of stay, and treatment for an unrelated condition discovered during your stay. These are itemised in your quote before you commit.
Treatment is provided by the hospital and clinicians, in their own professional capacity, under Indian law and their own terms. We do not direct clinical care and do not carry clinical liability for it. Any claim in respect of medical treatment lies against the treating provider.
Medical travel carries risks independent of the procedure: long-haul flight after surgery, difficulty accessing follow-up at home, visa or travel disruption, and currency movement. We strongly recommend medical travel insurance and will tell you what to look for. We do not sell, broker or underwrite insurance.
All fees are disclosed before payment. Indian GST applies where chargeable and is shown separately. Payments are processed by an RBI-authorised payment aggregator; we do not store card or bank credentials.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing in these terms including clauses 8 and 11 removes, restricts or waives any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other mandatory Indian law, or under the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence. Where any provision of these terms conflicts with such a right, that right prevails and the conflicting provision does not apply to you to that extent.

If a dispute with us is not resolved through clause 10 within 30 days, either party may refer it to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue is Bengaluru, Karnataka; the language is English.
This clause does not apply to, and shall not be used to obstruct, a consumer complaint brought under clause 9. It also does not apply to disputes concerning medical treatment those lie between you and the treating provider.
Subject to the above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
If you access the platform from outside India, you are responsible for compliance with local law. Nothing here purports to disapply mandatory consumer protections available to you at home.
We verify NMC registration, postgraduate qualification, current affiliation and, where available, indemnity status. We verify hospital accreditation status.
Verification is not endorsement. We are not a licensing authority and cannot independently assess clinical competence. You are entitled to and we encourage you to verify any practitioner's NMC registration independently at nmc.org.in.
The platform, its design and its written materials belong to us. You may use them for your own non-commercial purposes.
Your medical records remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the service you requested. We do not claim ownership of your health information, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models without separate, specific, revocable consent.
You may stop using the platform at any time and request deletion of your account under our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend access for material breach of clause 6, fraud, abuse of our staff or panellists, or where required by law. Where a case is already in progress and you have paid, we will either complete it or refund you.
Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest continues.
No waiver. Not enforcing a term once does not waive it.
Assignment. You may not assign these terms. We may on a corporate reorganisation, with notice to you.
Changes. Material changes are notified 30 days in advance by email and on the platform. Changes do not apply retrospectively to a case already underway.
Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any signed patient agreement or quote form the whole agreement. Where a signed patient agreement conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement prevails.
